LGBTQ+
FEATURED GENRES
LGBTQ+ (Pride Month)
December 1, 2023 - May 30, 2024
We welcome solicited and unsolicited submissions in preparation for the Pride celebration. Pride month is a great time to share learnings about the LGBTQ+ community that others may not have had the opportunity to be aware of. The best way to overcome any kind of discrimination is through education - dispelling myths, increasing awareness, and showing people how they too can make a difference.

We encourage you to write inspiring stories that showcase acceptance and love for the LGBTQ+ community. Queer topics have entered the mainstream and are being discussed openly in ways that were not possible less than a generation ago. Literature has always reflected our culture's diversity, although this can happen on the outskirts of society. Moving LGBTQ characters in YA books into the mainstream has a good impact on LGBTQ youth who might otherwise feel alienated or alone, or as if no one understands their experience. It is critical for persons of any gender or sexual orientation to feel represented in literature and to have their own voice.

Manuscript submission is from Dec 1, 2023, to May 30, 2024.
Mental Health Awareness Month
November - April (Self-help)
As we all know, mental awareness has a big impact on us as we want to be heard, but at the same time, we are scared to accept criticism from other people, which is why we choose to suffer in silence. Everyone needs to cope, to be treated fairly, and especially to be understood. Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in May in the United States since 1949, and that is the reason why we want to get self-help books from authors who like spreading awareness, considering today's generation looks to be struggling with a lack of hope. Sharing your stories with people around the world, particularly those who are looking to advance their education and improve themselves, also benefits us. We encourage you to share your book with everyone!

If you think that your book has potential, submit it to us, and we will thoroughly evaluate your work. If it meets our submission guidelines, we will contact you as soon as possible, and if you haven’t heard from us for 60-90 days, it is considered unfit.

Manuscript submission is from Nov 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024.
Christmas
June - November (Children's book/Cookbook)
Christmas is celebrated in all Christian countries, which is a yearly celebration marking Jesus Christ’s birth; it is observed on the 25th of December as a cultural and religious celebration among a lot of people all over the world. However, there are differences in the way each nation celebrates this date.

Since Christmas is fast approaching, we encourage solicited and unsolicited authors, who can submit books that signify the season of love, joy, support, giving, and most importantly the birth of Jesus Christ. We accept Submissions from the month of June up until the first week of November.

Our celebration of Christmas should also be a reflection of Selflessness, taught by the Savior. Giving brings the full joy of Christmas. We feel more kindly towards others.
Halloween
May - October (Thriller/Horror)
We accept solicited and unsolicited manuscripts for the Thriller/Horror genre whether you are a new author or have been previously published, The Literary House would like to hear from you.

The horror and thriller genres are frequently conflated, yet there are important distinctions between them. In general, horror is intended to evoke terror in the viewer or reader, whereas thrillers are intended to induce suspense and excitement. The best of both genres often intersect.

We encourage you to write books with thriller twists and turns to keep our audience’s adrenaline pumping as the sensation may be incredibly addicting.

Manuscript submission is from May 1, 2024, to October 30, 2024.
Valentines
August - January (Adult Romance/Rom-com)
The yearly holiday known as St. Valentine's Day honors friendship, appreciation, and passionate love. We are now accepting unsolicited submissions from authors who create novels in a variety of romance genres, including adult romance, romantic comedy, romantic fantasy, etc., as the month of love approaches. This is ideal for those who crave intimacy and affection, and it can also help heal unpleasant feelings and past traumas in terms of love. Reading romance novels in a way that allows us to see ourselves as the main characters in one of the stories helps us experience love.

What are you waiting for? Send us your manuscript, and we'll promote it to everyone looking for romance in books.

Manuscript submission is from Aug 1, 2024, to January 30, 2025
